The Courage to Grow Scholarship is dedicated to aiding students in fulfilling their educational dreams. To apply, submit a concise essay of 250 words or fewer detailing why you should be awarded this scholarship and how you demonstrate your capacity for personal growth.

E-waste contains toxic materials, including heavy metals, that can easily seep into the ground and ultimately get into groundwater supplies. According to the EPA, recycling e-waste allows more than 100 million pounds of materials to be reused annually. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the impact of e-waste and what can be done to reduce e-waste.

On February 24th, 2024, Richard and Rebecca Whiddon both lost their lives after being struck by an intoxicated driver. Richard and Rebecca were beloved friends and brilliant people. Rebecca was a project engineering manager working on projects with lithium-ion batteries for aerospace use and received her Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry at the young age of just twenty-five. Richard was a biomedical CNC machinist and programmer. He loved spending his free time using 3D printing to create new devices to make daily tasks easier. Despite facing various challenges throughout their lives, both Rebecca and Richard worked incredibly hard to further their skills and help share their knowledge with others. This scholarship aims to honor Richard and Rebecca Whiddon memories by supporting students who will carry on their light.

The First Responders Future Award is to honor the service of Frank Cummins. Frank has been a firefighter since 1995, serving multiple municipalities in a part time/volunteer role. This was until Frank became a career firefighter in 2004. The US Bank Student Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship opportunity for U.S. residents aged 17 or older who have been accepted to or are enrolled in a post-secondary institution to receive help funding their education. Each year, the scholarship awards up to $20,000 to multiple incoming and current undergraduate students who complete some of the U.S. Bank’s “financial education lesson” modules. Each module takes approximately 1-2 minutes to complete, and the more that students complete, the more money they become eligible to earn. E-waste contains toxic materials, including heavy metals, that can easily seep into the ground and ultimately get into groundwater supplies. According to the EPA, recycling e-waste allows more than 100 million pounds of materials to be reused annually.
