For this scholarship, students must construct a short essay discussing their financial challenges and career aspirations. Winners will receive either a $5,000 or $2,000 prize. There are multiple prizes available. 

For those seeking to enter the trades, this quarterly scholarship can provide you with $2,000. Applicants must have a 3.4 GPA and be planning to enroll into a program that will enable you to help others in your community by learning a new trade, enhancing technology skills, or starting a small business. 

Jones T-shirts offers the Love Your Career Scholarship, which is open to any student in the United States who plans to be enrolled in college by the deadline. Thus, seniors will want to apply in the Spring. A 1,000-word essay is required for the $1,000 scholarship. 

This scholarship opportunity provides scholarships ranging in value from $4,000 to $50,000 with a total of 200 scholarship being offered. The scholarship is sponsored by the Elks National Foundation. Applicants must be current high school seniors and do not need to be related to a member of the Elks to apply. 

The Burger King Scholars foundation was established in memory of Burger King founder Jim McLamore. It provides scholarship to students with a minimum 3.3 GPA and ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1221. Students must demonstrate leadership in community service, athletics, or other activities as well and have work experience. Students can win up to $50,000. 

This scholarship is open to any student planning to attend a U.S. college for their undergraduate studies. The application is relatively simple. Just complete a 500 word or less essay that responds to either why it is important to delete cyberbullying or how cyberbullying has affected you personally. The winner receives $1,000. 

The Pettable Pet Lovers Scholarship provides $1,000 for your cute pet. Simply submit your favorite photos of your pet with a short caption for each, including your pet’s name. The top photos will be shared on Pettable’s Instagram. Winners will largely be chosen by the popularity of their submissions. 

This annual essay competition provides a $10,000 prize for the winner. Applicants will submit an essay of 700 to 1,000 words describing an act of courage by an elected official who served during of after 1917. Officials can be at the federal, state, or local level. 

If you are someone who cares deeply about climate change and our oceans, this is the scholarship for you. Winners will get between $250 and $1,500. Applicants will utilize art or creative communication to become advocates for environmental action in their own communities.
